We recently designed and manufactured a PV3 carbon steel air receiver for a National Grid site, fully compliant with stringent PV3 specifications.

This project required close collaboration with our client from initial design through procurement, manufacture, and final dispatch. Every stage was carefully managed to ensure full compliance with National Grid requirements, with strict adherence to all specified controls and restrictions.

To meet the project’s quality and inspection criteria, the vessel underwent:

  • 10% Radiographic Testing (RT)
  • 100% Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
  • 100% Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • 100% Visual Inspection
  • Mechanical testing

The air receiver was completed with a three-coat external paint system, applied in accordance with National Grid specifications, ensuring long-term durability and protection in service.

This project reflects our commitment to quality assurance, technical compliance, and collaborative delivery on critical infrastructure applications.

National Grid Project Specifications considered: T_SP_PV_3, T_SP_PA_10 & T_SP_F_1
